Welcome to Beech Tree - Miss Heywood

Welcome to our very first remote summer term!

Your child will have lots of activities they can get stuck into over the summer term – so keep a close eye on Google Classroom. Read through our Welcome Letter, Curriculum Project and Science Project to see all the exciting things we have planned for this term.

Daily activities will be posted on Google classroom for the children to complete.  Please try to log in with your individual logins.

I love seeing the children’s fantastic learning at home – so please keep sending us photographs of their work via Google classroom or Twitter as we would like to showcase it in due course.

I'm missing the children lots and can't wait to see you all again soon

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards

Miss Heywood

Curriculum

Walk Like An Egyptian

Our curriculum topic for this term has a history focus inspired by the Ancient Egyptians and the achievements of this ancient civilisation. They will learn about how and where the ancient Egyptians lived, what was important to the daily lives of ancient Egyptians, who Tutankhamun was and how mummies
were made. The children will also learn about how Egyptian people used hieroglyphs to communicate and compare the powers of different gods.
